1799 Boston Stampless Cover. Datelined at Cronstadt (Russia) 5th August 1799. Addressed to Beverly (Massachusetts). Straight line BOSTON postmark, BPM 151 or similar. Franklin mark, 25 OC. Manuscript "17" rate marking at upper right. Business letter, "Since my last of the 31. July have purchased 50 Tons of Iron, which will be all on board to day. I am this minute going to St. Petersburg to purchase 50 Tons of Hemp..."
