Katharine Jowett1890-1965 This British lady Who worked andLived in China She created Asian style color woodblock prints.This is a fine color wood block The title is: Fox Tower, East Wall, Peking, This wood block print was created and printed in the 1920's when she lived in Peking, China. This woodblock is hand signed in pencil lower right and has an image size of 9X6 1/2. Jowett was one of a number of British women expert at using Asian style woodblock prints as their medium of expression. Printed on a soft medium weight wove type paper. This woodblock is in very fine condition, clearly signed in pencil, good bleed through to the back not glued down. Very rich colors.
