Frankfurt 1941-43 World War II original large field map used in airplane Frankfurt (Germany) Issued c.1941-43, by the Ordinance Survey War Office in Great Britain. Fine original antique heliographed color map created for military use during World War II. Printed on quality paper which retains its inherent structural flexibility and soundness.A highly detailed map created specifically for military use. The map was created with revisions based upon aerial surveillance. The colors correspond to elevation altitudes in meters. The map was intended for the Allies use in the field of the area depicted. A great conversation piece or gift. Will look great once displayed. In Good or better condition, some light soiling along a couple of the fold lines, light age wear and numerous strong strait pencil lines to trace a route from potential usage within an aircraft, but still well preserved [note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws]. The printed area remains visually pleasing, a nice impression of an interesting antique World War II related map. Any minor defects along the sheet edges and in the margins may be seen in the photos.
