Vintage Chase Brass Electric Light Lamp Lantern Hanging 5.5" T x 3.25" W~ VGCLantern is in very good condition for it's age. No dents to the brass, everything works as it should ( on/off switch, plug in, no apparent shorts in cord after considerable manipulation of cord to find one)There is some light tarnish/patina/wear to the brass finish, and I have not tried to polish or clean it in any way except for using a damp cloth to remove the worst of the dust. There are places on the globe that have a pinkish cast, which makes me wonder if it originally came painted pink or orange? Possible light scratches/scuffs to globe~ I did not attempt to clean it well for fear of causing damage with my lack of expertise, other than to remove worst of dust with damp cloth. Hanging knob is tightly affixed, as are the four brass posts that connect the top to bottom portion. No wiggling or jiggling to any of it, it is solid and ready to hang. Some soiling to cloth cord which I did not attempt to clean. No chips or cracks to the plastic acorn style, two prong plug. The on/off knob could definitely use some further cleaning.I DO want to point out ( and am doing so with a pen in the very last photo) that where the cord comes out of the lamp, there is some fraying to the outter portion of the cloth cord that wraps around the two individual wires on the
