Here's a souvenir statue from the Vulcan Park in Birmingham, Alabama. It depicts the Roman god Vulcan forging a spear. It's made of plastic or resin. The figurine stands 4 3/4" tall. The bottom is marked VULCAN, Vulcan Park, Birmingham, Alabama, Mfg. VPF, Made in China and WORLD'S LARGEST CAST IRON STATUE. It's in great condition. Any questions let me know. Thank you!Here's some more info about Vulcan Park...The Vulcan statue is the largest cast iron statue in the world, and is the city symbol of Birmingham, Alabama, reflecting its roots in the iron and steel industry. The 56-foot (17 m) tall statue depicts the Roman god Vulcan, god of the fire and forge. It was created as Birmingham's entry for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition (1904 World's Fair) in St. Louis, Missouri. It is the seventh-tallest free-standing statue in the United States. The statue has a locally produced wine named in its honor, Morgan Creek Vineyards' Vulcan Red.
